Aynhoe Park

This 17th century stately home has been the setting for Matthew's film, 40th birthday party and more over the years...
12th July 2013

Our relationship with the resplendent Aynhoe Park is ever-developing: Matthew Williamson bespoke cushions now line every sofa in the downstairs salon, it was the location for Matthew’s decadent 40th birthday party, as well as a short film XV we made to celebrate Matthew’s 15 years in fashion last year. The film stars Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne and Andrea Riseborough as well as a group of the Royal Ballet dancers choreographed by esteemed choreographer Wayne McGregor. Aynhoe Park is a 17th century, Palladian stately home in Oxfordshire owned by property dealer and avid art and antique collector, James Perkins. James has filled the house with his vast and innovative collection of taxidermy, statues, unique furniture and curiosities amassed from across the globe. Every corner of the house delights: from the brass boudoir palm tree lamps bursting with plumes of ostrich feathers to the Victorian crocodile butler welcoming you into the dining room poised with a silver tray. James’ style is eclectic and original, a juxtaposition of the old and the new with a touch of humour thrown in for good measure.
Expect further collaboration in the future, with news to come this autumn…The End
