We spotted actress Vanessa Kirby in the Winter Garden Organza dress at the premiere of About Time last week. The balmy August evening, the Somerset House setting – there was never a better occasion to rock a shimmering cocktail dress. She did just that.
“Every woman should have a dress like this. It’s completely perfect because you can wear it to something really special without feeling like its too much – it’s so feminine and elegant without trying too hard.”
“It’s beautiful for summer too; it was completely in keeping with the romantic, infectiously summery, joyous film that Richard’s made. I felt very lucky to wear it.”
“It sounds gushy but the highlight of my evening was sitting at Somerset House watching that huge screen, and seeing Richard Curtis and Emma Freud in the front row hold hands as the last scene of the movie was playing. Before the film, Richard gave a speech when we were all on stage and said about Emma ‘we make everything together – including children’. They are amazing together.”
The film is directed by Richard Curtis, with Vanessa reprising the role of Joanna, alongside Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy and Domhnall Gleeson. It is on general release in the UK from September 4th. Watch the trailer…
