Reports To: Creative Director
• A creative and hands-on role, working across all aspects of embroidery and embellishment.
• The individual will be highly enthusiastic about the brand, and have a minimum 3 years industry experience.
• Responsible for the design and development of embroideries across all collections.
• Hiring and managing a team of interns to assist with embroidery artworks.
• Responsible for managing own schedule and meeting all embroidery related deadlines set on critical path.
• To develop new swatches that are brand appropriate.
• To monitor quality of embroidery across sampling and production.
• To visit factories when necessary and develop good working relations with outside suppliers.
• To monitor embroidery costs and work with product developers and suppliers to meet target prices.
• Responsible for the adaptation of embroideries for production.
• To bring freshness and new ideas into the role- through good knowledge of the current market, understanding our competitors, store research and outside inspiration trips.
• Graduate with minimum 2.1 degree
• An eye for detail is crucial for the role
• Proven examples to show creative eye and ability
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Matthew Williamson is looking for an Embroidery Designer. The position requires someone who can drive the creation of embroideries in a high performance culture, in a high pressure and fast moving environment.
